Not Quite My Tempo T-Shirt | Whiplash Movie Quote Tee

Not Quite My Tempo

If you've seen Whiplash, you don't need much more than four words to hear J.K. Simmons' voice in your head:

“Not quite my tempo.” IMDb

Terence Fletcher's seemingly harmless little phrase becomes one of the most terrifying sentences in music. A drummer plays. Fletcher stops the band. Again. And again. And somehow, that tempo is still not quite right.

This shirt captures Fletcher in all his intense, utterly unreasonable glory—the look, the raised fist, and the phrase that every Whiplash fan will recognize immediately.

For musicians, drummers, and anyone who's ever had a conductor stop rehearsal and say, “Let's take that again…”

Not quite my tempo.
